Overview

One of two rivers that flow through Eboracum (York) (along with the River Ouse). The Foss runs through the city walls via a drainage system, which presents a potential strategic weakness for infiltration or assault.

Notes

In the campaign year 484, Millicent’s conroi consulted fortification plans at the Bath Scriptorium and identified a vulnerability: the drain where the River Foss passes through York’s walls could serve as an entry point for infiltrators or attackers.
