Notes
Cornish stronghold besieged by Uther during his campaign against Gorlois. Uther’s aim is to kill Gorlois and take Ygraine.
The town beside the castle was deliberately emptied before Uther’s army arrived. The later assault confirms the castle was lightly defended and likely a ruse: Gorlois and Ygraine were not found there.
