Party’s Magical Sword (not Excalibur)
Notes
The sword carried by the conroi after the Otherworld repair was believed to be Excalibur, but Session 023 - The Dragon Beneath the Mine reveals otherwise. It glows blue in the presence of the woman/dragon in the crystal chamber, but when the freed parallel-world Merlin sees it, he says it is not Excalibur and produces that world’s true Excalibur from his robes.
The sword is still magical and important, but its true name, origin, and purpose remain unknown. The exact Old English name was not captured reliably in the transcript and should be filled in from Foundry chat if available.
Current status
- This is the confirmed false Excalibur / Fakealibur.
- In Session 027 - The House of Constantine and the Return to Wells, Millicent secretly swaps this blade into Sir Madoc’s possession while taking the runed blade he claims is reforged Excalibur.
- By Session 028 - The Easter Feast at the White Tower, Merlin understands that Madoc bears the false blade while the runed blade was returned to the lake.
